For the Westwood | Kawakubo exhibition at NGV International, InTension joined a collaborative design-development framework alongside Studio Peter King and the gallery's in-house team. Tasked with establishing a spatial context worthy of two of fashion’s most radical iconoclasts, our studio translated an initial concept into a fully realised exhibition format. Through multiple technical and material iterations, we developed a striking, irregular knife-pleat structural system. This sharp, punk-edged architectural gesture references Westwood’s aesthetic. By suspending a semi-translucent material from custom curved extrusions, the installation manipulates light and shadow to inject depth, atmospheric tension, and volume into the gallery space.

( What We Deliver )
We develop spatial concepts that balance aesthetic clarity with structural logic, creating environments that are both expressive and buildable.
Our fabrication process translates design into reality through precise material selection, detailing, and production at scale.
We deliver and install fully compliant and insured structures on site with efficiency and care, ensuring each project is realised as intended.
