InTension was engaged by the Community Renewal Authority (CRA), via Dionysis Place, to design, fabricate, install, and certify a series of freestanding shade structures at Ngamawari Acton Waterfront Park in Canberra. This project formed part of Stage 1A of the broader Acton Waterfront development, located along the iconic foreshore of Lake Burley Griffin. In collaboration with landscape architects Aspect Studios, InTension developed a site-specific solution that responded sensitively to the location, integrating seamlessly with the park's design intent. Phase 2 of the Acton Waterfront project will see these structures relocated throughout the permanent park.
